M&A and Privatisation

Privatisation has been a mainstay of our firm’s transactional work for years.

Our Managing Partner, Dimitris Paraskevas, has served as Secretary for Privatisation of the Ministry of Development from 1993 until 1999, during which time he successfully structured and led the negotiations in many complex privatisation transactions and the Greek privatisation programme raised more than USD 10 billion in privatisation proceeds.

Drawing on this background, we have advised on the Greek government's privatisation program in virtually every area of industry, gaining wide recognition as one of the leading legal advisors on privatisation.

Our appointments have included drawing up or commenting on privatisation master plans, drafting legislation and advising on the privatisation of individual companies, while a portion of our instructions have come from foreign governments seeking expert advice in their privatisation efforts.
